Meet Cody
Cody McKay is an Idaho native, born and raised in Preston - just north of Logan, Utah, home of Utah State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the Huntsman School of Business. He built his education fund as a general construction apprentice throughout high school and college - experience that would serve him well throughout his career. It was through fine home construction that he gained an understanding of and appreciation for design, architecture and excellent craftsmanship.
After graduating, Cody began a career in sales and marketing where he worked in the home-services industry. This initial career path shaped his business acuity and strategic mind, honing his fascination with consumer behavior, market trends and the art of making a deal. Leaning heavily on that experience, he launched his first solo venture - a human capital consulting firm providing talent acquisition and human capital management solutions to roofing, HVAC, pest control, disaster mitigation and cleaning companies across the nation.
Despite the success he won for his clients and personally as a consultant, his love for building and design called. Presented with an opportunity, he exited his consulting lane and launched into a career that had been hiding in plain sight - real estate, to work beside top-producing agents and incorporate his interest in design, negotiation and structures into his daily work.
Cody’s experience in custom home construction and his deep knowledge of building methodology, home systems structural health and quality finishes, as well as his penchant for distilling these complex concepts into comprehensive education for his clients, has allowed his career to skyrocket. He quickly rose as a top producer at Platinum Realty Group, earning an “outstanding agent” feature in Surprise Lifestyle Magazine in his first year as a realtor.
His unique experience and skill sets coupled with a robust background in marketing and negotiations set Cody apart as an agent in the Arizona market. His emphasis on promoting education, identifying quality build markers in each home, negotiating hard on his clients behalf and deeply preparing buyers and sellers for the next milestone in their journey have created a working experience second to none. He believes every real estate exchange should be a positive, uplifting experience and dedicates his time, talents and creativity to cultivating that world-class service at every opportunity.
